APPLICATIONS FOR THE FIRST SUPPORT SERVICE SCHOOL ARE NOW CLOSED
REVIEWING APPLICATIONS
Thank you to every team that applied to join the pilot Support Service School — for your trust, and for your willingness to speak openly about the state of your unit’s support service.
The first cohort of training will run August 17–29, 2026, in Kyiv. We’re now reviewing applications and putting together the final list of teams.
HOW WE SELECTED TEAMS
Priority was given to units that:
- have genuine motivation for change, not just formal interest;
- already have at least the beginnings of a service — someone who is de facto handling support work;
- back their commitment with more than words: allocating time and resources from command;
- plan to establish an NGO or charitable foundation to fund the service.
Basic requirements for participation included: written confirmation of support from the commander, at least one designated case manager committed to completing the full training cycle, and the unit’s commitment to implementing the approaches learned within 6 months after training.
Selection took place in two steps: an application form describing the current state of the service and a brief rationale for participation, followed by a short interview with a Foundation representative (30 minutes, online) and a letter of support from command.
WHAT’S NEXT
The Foundation’s team is reviewing applications and preparing the final list of participants for the first cohort. Thank you to everyone who responded — even if your team doesn’t make it into this pilot, we’ll stay in touch: the School will run in successive cohorts, and applications will open again.
